I am giving this place a great review as the food - quality, portion size and price - was really good REALLY good!
Stopped in a few weeks ago - we are not locals - and we were seated right away. Great menu and all of were satisfied.
As said - the food was excellent.
But our particular server was as bad as I have ever had - no mistakes on our orders (other then rushing us with the bill - despite our meals coming with dessert). Please check my previous reviews as I have never given anyone such demerits. We were not greeted by this waitress, she was rude , never a thank you - I am not sure what was her problem (I hope it was that day and that hour) but it was bad.
I am not going to take this person poor attitude out on my review of this restaurant so they get a top rating from me - but wow was she tough. -

I don't know why so many complaints. Christina's restaurant knows its customers! They cater to senior citizens, which isn't necessarily a bad thing; but this is probably why some complaints of "bland food".
For those whom complain about poor service-they may have come during slow days, or too overwhelmed days, we went today and ours was just fine.
Ask for Carl, you won't be disappointed, friendly and knowledgeable and fast.
The food was edible, not great-I ordered the meatloaf, my dad ordered steak. Everything was fresh, and the mozzeralla sticks were indeed house made!
The portions were huge for sure, for a reasonable price. Just make sure you skip the pre-fix early bird menu if you cannot eat it all haha.
Overall, very good. I'll go back again. -

This was our first visit to this restaurant. It was our 16th anniversary and wanted to go somewhere different. It was nearly an hour from where we live, and we were very glad we made the trip. We started with a shared calamari appetizer. The rings were a little chewy, but the tubes-n-tents were really good, as was the dipping sauce. We received a tasty bread basket, good drinks, and an excellent meal served by an excellent waitress. This was followed by a nice bowl of French onion soup, a generous, fresh house salad with fresh blue cheese crumbles, tastefully dispensed by our waitress, and the the main course. My wife had a terrific steak, while I went for the shrimp carbonaro. The courses were well spaced so you never felt rushed. All in all, they delivered a very good evening.

Stopped at Christina's on trip up to Hyde Park. Chosen thru Yelp. We both had meat loaf stuffed with spinach and provolone. It was delicious. It was part of their 'early bird' choices, which includes soup, salad, entree and dessert. For the price of the entree. Pretty good deal. Wines were also inexpensive. Service was friendly and attentive. We definitely will return to this restaurant.

Excellent food. Generous portions. I shared a dish with my boyfriend which neither of us could finish. The meal was served hot in a timely manner by a friendly and courteous waitress named Patrina. We will be making this our new go to Italian restaurant.
